John Legend and Chrissy Teigen know that there's no time off from parenting [3] — it isn't a 9 to 5 gig, you don't get weekends off, and there's definitely no PTO. So when it came time for Chrissy to tend to her "mommy duties" while on their way to a beautiful Father's Day dinner, the mom of two took a pumping break, and John is praising his wife for all that she is. "I know it's Father's Day and all but my wife is pretty awesome," he captioned the photo above. "She's taking me to dinner but still on mommy duty." That's right! Before hopping on a plane for dinner [4], she pumped for newborn baby Miles [5] using a Haakaa silicone breast pump [6].
Count on Chrissy to look absolutely gorgeous while pumping! While we can't say pumping is always that glamorous [7], we can say that Chrissy and John always show the real side to parenting [8], and we love them for it. (Yep, that includes occasionally playing badminton while on the toilet [9], if that's what your toddler wants!)
But the praise did not stop there — in fact, it was flowing all day long. Earlier on Sunday, Chrissy shared an adorable photo of John with their two children, applauding him for his endless love and generosity, but not exactly for his humour. "What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man," she wrote on Instagram [10]. "Thank you for the beautiful life and these beautiful lives you have given me. My best friend and partner always, the most loving and generous and kind human in the world. And the smartest. I didn't say funniest so you know I'm not lying here. We love you with all our hearts. Happy Father's Day."
