We had allllll of the feelings when we realised that Danielle Fishel gave her son Adler a middle name that honours her Boy Meets World character, Topanga [3], but it's her nickname for the 1-month-old that is truly giving us heart eyes. In a post to Instagram, Danielle explained that when she and her husband Jensen Karp found out they were expecting, she immediately downloaded The Bump app, which offers a feature that tells you how big your baby is at any given time throughout your pregnancy [4]. Upon her download, she was just four weeks pregnant with Adler, and the app told her that he was the size of a poppyseed.
"From that day on, for the rest of my pregnancy, @jensenkarp and I called him 'Poppyseed.' Today is Poppyseed's due date and while spending the first few weeks of his life in the NICU [5] made us feel like so many days were stolen from us, as I sit here this morning thinking about the fact that I very well could have still been pregnant with him makes me realise how lucky we are to have had 'bonus time' with our little man [6]," she wrote. "I can't imagine still wondering what he looks like, smells like, sounds like. Not to mention, I'm so happy to not be pregnant anymore!! That stuff is for the birds. We love you more than we ever knew was possible, Poppyseed."
