It's evidently never too early to start planning holiday festivities at Walt Disney World. The resort recently announced the dates for its annual Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, and tickets are already on sale. This year's event will take place on select evenings between Nov. 8 and Dec. 22, with the actual week of Christmas offering different celebrations and parades.

Why attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party? For starters, the park is exclusively open for party ticketholders from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. So, less people means slightly smaller crowds. While many popular rides will be open throughout the party, the focus is mostly on the holiday parade, fireworks display, and Frozen-themed stage show. That's in addition to the specialty food items and beverages included in the price of admission.

If that all sounds like an ideal holiday getaway to you, the exact dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are as follows:

• Nov. 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, and 24.
• Dec. 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, and 22.

Tickets range from $99 to $139 for adults — $94 to $134 for children — depending on the evening. Though you save $10 for buying in advance, heads up that the party ticket is in addition to the standard Magic Kingdom park ticket for that day.
