So many new rides, attractions, and land details have been revealed at the 2019 Disney D23 Expo, but one of the most exciting so far is the news of a brand-new Disneyland parade called Magic Happens [1]. Debuting in Spring 2020, the parade will travel down Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland park and feature floats that bring to life some of Disney's most beloved animated stories, like Coco, Moana, and Sleeping Beauty.

The daytime parade will celebrate magical Disney moments big and small and will feature "stunning floats, beautiful costumes, and beloved Disney characters — all led by Mickey Mouse and his pals," according to the Disney Parks blog. "In addition, the parade will feature even more floats and characters, an energetic musical score, and a new song produced in partnership with singer-songwriter Todrick Hall. The high-energy music combines this original song with classic Disney tunes in a fresh, contemporary style."

The Moana Float

According to the Disney Parks Blog, "On her voyager wa'a (or canoe), Moana journeys forth on the crest of a beautiful wave, inspired by beautiful koa wood carvings inset with LED panels, providing a dazzling glimpse into the magic the ocean holds."

The Coco Float

There are so many beautiful details on the Coco-inspired float. The bridge that connects the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead will be covered in marigolds, Miguel will be seen strumming the guitar of Ernesto de la Cruz, and alebrije spirit animals, like Miguel's dog, Danté, will join the procession.

The Sleeping Beauty Float

The Sleeping Beauty-inspired float will include "the trio of fairies . . . who transform Princess Aurora's gown from pink to blue and back again!" The float will be a part of Magic Happen's "regal" grand finale, which will incorporate many classic Disney stories and characters.
