Drew Barrymore always keeps it real, and we love her for it. Whether she's talking about her love for Jake Gyllenhaal [2] or going overboard with the bleached hair [3], her candid and honest approach to every stage of life is why her fans can't get enough of her (and those adorable Instagram posts [4]). Now, the mom of two is sharing one of her favourite tips for preventing toddler tantrums [5], and it's straight-up genius. The tip is a strategic and simple way to use bubbles to thwart an impending screaming fit — yep, bubbles.

"Summer toddler tip: 'keep bubbles on hand. You cannot tantrum if you are breathing and you cannot blow bubbles without breathing. You can't tantrum while smiling and you can't catch bubbles without lots of smiles. Quick distraction to get back to calm,'" she wrote, quoting a post from the parenting Instagram account seedlingsgroup [6].

Bubbles aren't just a fun thing to play with and chase around outside; they're now our saviors! If this worked on Drew's daughters [8] — 5-year-old Olive and 4-year-old Frankie — we have a feeling it will work for our kids. Now we'll never leave home without a bottle of bubbles!
