Yikes! This Little Bites Product Was Recalled in 37 States — Here's What Parents Should Know

02/08/2019 - 05:47 PM

If throwing a package of Entenmann's Little Bites in your child's lunch box [1] is a regular habit of yours, you may want to think again for the time being. According to a notice issued by Bimbo Bakeries USA [2], Inc., packages of Entenmann's Little Bites Soft Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies are being voluntarily recalled in 37 states over concerns of plastic pieces being found in the pouches. The recall was issued after several consumers reported finding "visible, blue plastic pieces" in the packages.

Parents should be on the look out for "best by" dates of Aug. 31 and Sept. 7, 2019, and a lot code of 1350. Despite the fact that the company is reassuring people that no plastic was baked directly into the cookies, it still suggests not ingesting the ones in affected pouches. And FYI: no other Entenmann's snacks are affected by the recall. Think you have an affected product? You can return it to its place or purchase for a full refund. For any questions, call 1-800-984-0989.
