Gabrielle Union Shared a Photo of Kaavia’s Birth, and OMG, Her Reaction to Becoming a Mom!
It's been over six months since Gabrielle Union became a mom to her daughter, Kaavia James, but the mom waited until her first Mother's Day to share what may be the sweetest photo we've seen of the family since Kaavia's birth.
In the photo, Kaavia is being held up in front of Gabrielle and her husband, Dwyane Wade, who is taking a picture of his baby girl. The real focus of the snap, however, is Gabrielle, who is seeing her baby girl for the first time, right after she was delivered by a surrogate — and her reaction to becoming a mama is so sweet.
"I've cried so many times today for so many reasons, mainly because I'd gotten accustomed to heartbreak and disappointment. I think a lot of us live in that space. I set up shop there. This moment reminded me that miracles do happen," Gabrielle wrote on Instagram. "You can't age out of joy. You are worthy. You are worthy. You are worthy. Sending so much love today to all the mamas, stepmamas, grandmas, aunties real and play, daddies, friends, and anyone who has taken the time to nurture another living soul. I see you, I gotchu. And to those who have lost their mamas, grandmas, mother figures, sending extra love and light and hugs your way."
