This NBA Player's Reaction to Finding Out He's Having a Third Daughter Is So Anticlimactic It Hurts
It looks like Gordon Hayward may already be ready to try for baby number four based on his reaction to the gender reveal of baby number three. Earlier this week, the NBA player's wife, Robyn Hayward, shared a video on Instagram of the family opening a box of balloons to reveal that they were, in fact, expecting their third daughter. "In January we will be adding another baby to the family and we couldn't be more grateful! Three babies in three and half years has me thinking we're crazy, but our lives are already crazy so what's adding another baby!😬😂💗 #noneofthemwereplannedlol" she captioned the video above.
But it wasn't the caption that had people talking, it was Gordon's incredibly anticlimactic reaction the moment the pink balloons popped out of the box that proved he was probably hoping for blue balloons. The best moment came when Robyn asked, "Is daddy happy?" to which Gordon responded in the most monotonous, unenthusiastic tone, "Daddy's always happy." Riiight.
It is possible that the Boston Celtics forward and his wife already knew they were having a girl and were simply doing the gender reveal for the kids, but if that were the case, he could've at least faked some excitement for the sake of their daughters, amirite? Welp, now Gordon possibly understands the same disappointment Celtics fans felt when he was injured during the first five minutes of the first regular season game and ruled out for the entire 2017 season. If the Hayward family does decide to go for baby number four, we recommend a slam dunk gender reveal — that seems a little more Gordon's speed.
