Grandpa Tap Dancing With His Granddaughter

This Video of a Grandpa Tap Dancing With His Granddaughter Will Make Your Damn Day

If you're in need of a little something to thaw out your cold heart in two minutes or less, look no further than this viral video of Bill Jones, a 72-year-old grandfather tap dancing to "Cups" by Anna Kendrick with his 10-year-old granddaughter, Maeve. The duo came up with the routine after Maeve asked her grandpa to accompany her on stage during her recital, and holy mother of pearl, did he knock it out of the park or what?

"It's crazy," Maeve told WHDH. "My mom says my grandfather loves to dance, and I asked him if he wanted to do a tap duel with me, and we did it. And it's amazing."

By the looks of his moves, Grandpa Bill is a ringer. According to the pair, they practiced for an hour each week for six weeks in order to perfect the routine. To make the situation even sweeter, he admits he was flattered Maeve asked him to participate in the first place.

"There probably aren't too many tap-dancing grandfathers around," said Bill. "I was very proud to do it, and I was surprised at the response."

And boy was there a response to say the least. Fox News shared the video to Facebook on Sept. 21, and at press time, over 98,000 people have reacted to the clip and 7,400 users have left comments. We think it's safe to say the whole internet is waiting for Bill and Maeve's next performance. Read through to get a look at some of the most heartwarming remarks.
