The Bachelor [1]'s Arie Luyendyk Jr. and his wife, Lauren, recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl [2] on May 29, and though we're obsessed with her name — Alessi Ren [3] — there's been questions about how to pronounce the unique name [4]. Alessi, which means "defender" in Greek, is pronounced a-less-ee, with the word "less" right there in the middle.

Although neither Arie or Lauren has said baby girl's name aloud in a video, it seems unlikely they'd stray from the common pronunciation, but only time will tell! As an Alessia, I can attest to the fact that the little one will probably get more than a handful of wrongful pronunciations [5] of her name in her life, but maybe I'm biased when I say her mom and dad still chose her sweet name wisely.
