Kobe Bryant Talking About Fatherhood on Fallon Video

Kobe Bryant Gets Real About 4 Daughters: "I Spend Most of the Time Talking to Myself"

It's pretty much impossible to associate Kobe Bryant with something other than basketball, but after retiring from the league in 2016 and winning his first Academy Award last year, he's heading down another path of notoriety in the entertainment industry, and he couldn't be more excited about it. On Tuesday night, the five-time NBA champion stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to discuss all things fatherhood and his new book The Wizenard Series: Training Camp, which is a fantasy basketball novel out this week.

With Kobe and Vanessa Bryant expecting their fourth daughter later this year, Jimmy couldn't help but ask him about his female-filled household. "Four girls, man, four girls," Kobe said. "I spend most of the time at the house literally talking to myself. I think they're listening and then they just go off talking about something else, and then I just face the wall." With 16-year-old Natalia, 12-year-old Gianna, and 2-year-old Bianka, it's safe to say Kobe is far from bored, post-retirement.

He even said that his youngest daughter and baby on the way will have no idea that he is a basketball legend. "They're gonna know you as a writer and director and producer," Jimmy said, adding that Kobe's new book is "a mix of fantasy, like Harry Potter or Game of Thrones, mixed with basketball."
