When Kris Jenner appeared on The Ellen Show's special Mother's Day [1] episode, she had no idea the multitude of surprises that were in store for her.

At the taping on Thursday (the episode airs on Friday), the matriarch sat on Ellen DeGeneres [2]'s couch as the host announced that Kourtney Kardashian and six of Kris's nine grandchildren were secretly in the studio!

While wiping away tears, Kris watched as Kourtney wrangled her kids – Mason, Penelope, and Reign – and sister Kim Kardashian [3]'s children – North, Saint, and Chicago.

Noticeably absent, however, was Kim herself.

"Kim was supposed to be here," Kourtney explained over Reign – who nearly stole the show with his silly outbursts about his name and candy. "My mom doesn't even know this, but Kim's surrogate went into labour. So she's at the hospital."

Kris's shocked expression makes it clear she had no idea this was happening.

"No!" she exclaimed. "What are we doing sitting here?! Come on, Ellen, fire up the car!"

Ellen then asked if anyone else knows this big news. No one except for the talk show's entire audience!

"Nobody knows, so everyone in the audience, don't tell!" Kourtney said before Kris added: "No tweeting or posting yet!"

For reality TV stars, it doesn't get more real than that!
