The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part Trailer

Hold on to Your Bricks! The First Hilarious Trailer For the Second Lego Movie Is Here

It was announced in May that the long-anticipated sequel to The Lego Movie will be hitting theatres in February 2019, and while that feels like a lifetime away, Warner Bros. is already keeping our excitement up with the movie's first trailer. The second instalment, aptly named The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, takes place five years after the first, and a lot has changed — there's a new threat in Bricksburg: Lego Duplo invaders from outer space.

"The battle to defeat them and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical," the trailer's caption reads. "It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and reveal just how special they really are."

Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, and Alison Brie will all be reprising their voice roles in the sequel, and will be joined by new cast members Tiffany Haddish, Stephanie Beatriz, and Arturo Castro, who voice new characters: Queen Watevra Wa-Nabi, Sweet Mayhem, and Ice Cream Cone, respectively. Watch the trailer above and get pumped for Feb. 8, 2019, because everything is going to be awesome again — or will it?
