Mariah Carey [3] showed her two children [4] a lot of love for their eighth birthday this week. On Tuesday, the singer wished the fraternal twins, Moroccan and Monroe, a happy birthday with a sweet Instagram gallery [5] full of throwback photos that even included a few pics of Mariah cradling them just moments after their birth. She followed her original post up with a second series of photos from the extravagant birthday party [6] she threw them that same day.
"Happy birthday Roc and Roe," the caption reads. "You are my everything and even though you're turning 8 today (how did that happen???) You'll always be #dembabies. thank you for showing me the true meaning of love."
Mariah welcomed Moroccan and Monroe in 2011 with her ex-husband Nick Cannon [7], three years after they were married in 2008. They officially parted ways in 2014 [8], though they've remained friendly to one another and continue to respectfully coparent the twins. After spending the day sharing his own collection of photos of Roc and Roe, Nick left a sweet comment under Mariah's throwback post, writing: "Can a brotha at least get some photo credit!!! LOL Thanks for the most amazing gifts ever!!!"
