After a fire broke out in an apartment complex in Anderson, SC, a nearby ex-Marine acted fast to save an 11-month-old boy who was stuck on the second floor of the burning building. The good Samaritan, who wishes to remain anonymous, caught the child as his mom threw him out of the window in order to save his life. Thankfully, a witness caught the whole thing on video — and talk about being at the right place at the right time.
According to NBC News, the mom jumped out of the window shortly after handing her child off to the quick-thinking stranger. Fortunately, firefighters were able to rescue a dog, cat, and turtle from the building. Both the mom and young boy reportedly only suffered minor injuries.
