Marshfield High School graduate Tyler Solomon is stunned as he receives his diploma and is reunited with his father, who made a surprise return trip from a year-long deployment overseas. As the 337 students of the class of 2018 gathered for their graduation from Marshfield High School in Massachusetts, one student in particular hadn't the slightest idea that he was about to get the surprise of a lifetime. Tyler Solomon didn't expect his dad to be at the ceremony [3], seeing as he's actively serving in the military and has been deployed in Kosovo since January. However, there was no way US Army Sgt. Damon Solomon was going to miss his oldest son's graduation — the dad of six was granted special leave to watch his boy receive his diploma on the school's football field, where he was waiting to surprise him [4].

After Tyler's name was called, the teen stepped up to grab his diploma and get his picture taken, but then he was stopped from walking off like the other students. Then the woman reading the names at the podium says: "Ladies and gentlemen, please join us in recognising United States Army Sergeant Damon Solomon, who was granted special leave this weekend from his fifth deployment in Kosovo to celebrate Tyler's graduation."

While the woman is speaking, it seems like Tyler isn't even registering what she's saying — perhaps he thought the school was just recognising his dad's service. But then he steps away from the podium, and his eyes light up — his dad is walking across the field [5] to him.

Y'all, get ready to lose it, because this reunion is good.
