Having school-age children means late Summer is filled with a ton of running around and obligatory first-day-of-school photos [3]. And while getting your kids to look somewhat presentable [4] while flashing a half-decent smile is tricky enough, coming up with cute prop ideas [5] can be even more of a challenge. Enter Carina Cansino, a mom from Dallas, TX, who killed two birds with one stone by creating an adorable, re-wearable T-shirt [6] for her 5-year-old son, Gus, to don on his first day back [7] for years to come. And yes, we're 100 percent planning on stealing the idea.

"I wanted something that my son and I could enjoy not just now [8], but when he becomes an adult. I'm a sucker for keepsakes and sentimental valuables, so I know this would be perfect," Carina told Insider. "I know one day we'll both look back at all the photos and cherish all the great memories. It's the best part of being a mom."

After sharing her creation on Twitter, it immediately went viral, with parents getting choked up at her idea. Ever since posting two sweet photos of Gus in his shirt on Aug. 19, her tweet has amassed more than 214,000 likes and roughly 34,000 retweets.

Although there's no denying the shirt is a brilliant idea, Carina took it a step further by making Gus a journal she plans to give to him when he graduates high school.

"I started it his first year of school, along with the shirt, where I share stories, memories, and hardships we've overcome. He'll be able to read it after his graduation," she explained. "I was a teen mom, and my son has been my drive for all my accomplishments. I want him to see how much of a blessing he's been to me."
