Carting your little ones around Disney World and Disneyland [1] might get a bit more tricky. According to Disney's blog, officials are cracking down on the size of the strollers parents can bring into the parks [2].

Starting on May 1, strollers should be no wider than 31 inches across, a reduction from the current 36-inch limit. Although the blog post noted that some double strollers will fit within the guidelines — like the Britax B-Agile Double Stroller and the Evenflo Aero2, for example — others will be too wide to be permitted into the parks. Our advice? Measure your stroller's width before you go to avoid any confusion. If your stroller is too big, Disney parks will have double stroller options available to rent on site. Additionally, wagons will also be banned on the first of the month.

Lisa Mendillo — Disney World's communications manager and author of the blog — said that the new rules are meant to "to help guest flow and ease congestion," which might prove helpful when Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opens at both locations [3].

The blog also updated guests on its brand new no-smoking policy. Disney announced on March 28 that it will remove all smoking areas from both parks; however, there will be designated smoking areas at Disney Springs and at Disney resort hotels.
