Chrissy Teigen's Ode to "Asian Pear Underwear" Will Make Anyone Who's Given Birth Scream With Delight
Chrissy Teigen, now a mother of two, never shies away from an opportunity to poke a little fun at herself — and that includes parts of her postpartum experiences. In a recent Instagram, she posed with her newborn son, Miles Theodore, while holding a pear in its netted packageing and sporting some postbirth undies that are hard to miss. And anyone who's seen Ali Wong's hilarious Netflix special, Hard Knock Wife, will get the joke immediately.
In case you haven't had the chance to watch the comedy special that captures the good, the bad, and the ugly of motherhood just yet, Ali compared the large, mesh underpants moms have to wear postbirth to the material that fancy Korean pears come in at the grocery store. Based on Chrissy's hilarious photographic evidence, Ali's observation is 100 percent accurate.
Chrissy hammered the point home with a caption that alluded to Hard Knock Wife: "If you haven't seen Ali Wong's new Netflix special, you are bad at picking Netflix specials #asianpearunderwear." That's our definition of a ringing endorsement, and 2-year-old Luna adorably playing her pink harp in the background of the photo is just an added bonus.
