Although Princess Diana's short life came to an unfortunate end in 1997, the mom of two spent her time in the '90s being exactly what was expected of her: a total '90s mom.

Anyone who remembers their own mom from that decade can easily recall her mom jeans, hair coifs, and shoulder pads; all classic wardrobe choices of the ultimate '90s mom. They'll also remember being dressed by their mother in outfits that matched their siblings, and a whole lot of denim and neon. And despite being a royal and one of the most highly photographed women at that time, Princess Diana fit that bill perfectly as mom to Princes William and Harry.

5. When she had to really stretch her arm out to put her hand on her son's bowl cut due to limited shoulder mobility.

If you didn't laugh at your mom trying to lift her arms in a jacket with massive shoulder pads, you definitely weren't a '90s kid — and probably never had to suffer an unironic bowl cut like William.
