A woman from Toronto, Canada, shared a heartwarming video to Twitter that has people smiling from ear to ear. The sweet clip shows two young siblings who recently fled Eritrea — an African country with an oppressive government — experiencing their very first snowfall. And obviously, the smiles on their faces are everything.
Rebecca Davies captioned the photo: "A first snowfall for Eritrean children new to Canada," and explained that the two children weren't alone in a followup message. "Their mother is [with them], and two other siblings. Mum fled the war and has been in a refugee camp in Sudan until... just last Thursday. Now they're making their home in Toronto."
According to Rebecca, the mom and her four children under the age of 7 are temporarily staying with her through a private sponsorship program until they can strike out on their own.
Jokingly, another Twitter user told Rebecca that she was lucky the brother and sister weren't eating snow like her grandchildren. But not so fast! Rebecca responded with a sweet photo of the kids doing just that.
