Rihanna's Compliment on Anne Hathaway's Postbaby Body

Rihanna's Comment on Anne Hathaway's Postbaby Body Will Make You LOL — in a Good Way

Getting back out into the world after having a baby can be a tough transition, and for Anne Hathaway, despite accepting the way her postpartum body looked as she stepped onto the set of Ocean's 8 for the first time, knowing that her weight was still up postbaby was hard for her to ignore. Talking to Ellen DeGeneres, Hathaway, who welcomed her son Jonathan two years ago, opened up about trying to feel confident on that first day and how her costars made it 10 times easier to love her body.

"[This movie] was really significant for me because it was my first movie after having my son," Hathaway told Ellen. "One of the lucky things about being in this business for so long is that I've really kind of come to terms with the pressure that you get to look a certain way as an actress, and I don't beat myself up about any of that stuff anymore. But after I had my son, the weight was really slow to come off, and so I was a different size than I normally am."

But any worries the actress had about her body quickly melted away once she stepped on set in a pair of jeans and encountered Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and Rihanna.

"I walked on the set, and, you know, my weight's a little up, and I'm just aware of it. And I walk on the set, and I'm in my jeans, and I've done my best, and I'm going to love myself no matter what. And Sandy Bullock looks up and goes, 'Looking good, mama.' That made me feel amazing!" she said. "And then Cate Blanchett's like, 'Nice jeans, Hathaway.' . . . And then Rihanna looks up and goes, 'Damn girl, you got a ass!' And I of course freaked out and loved it so much. I was like, 'Really?!' And she goes, 'You got a ass like me!'"

We love this entire encounter so much. Talk about women supporting women!
