Ritz Crackers Recall July 2018

Recall Alert: A New Warning Advises Tossing Your Ritz Snacks Immediately

A warning has been issued for several popular Ritz snack products over fears of salmonella contamination. On July 21, Mondelez International voluntarily recalled 16 Ritz products in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. The food and beverage company became concerned after the whey powder used in Ritz products may have been contaminated.

Fortunately, at press time, no one has reported any illnesses related to the recalled snacks. Regardless, customers are still being advised to toss any affected products immediately. If anyone in your family has consumed any of these products, common symptoms of salmonella to look out for include fever, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.
