Listen, I respect any photographer — professional or amateur — who can get a great photo of one child, let alone 10. Royal wedding photographer Alexi Lubomirski, who took the official portraits [1] of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, did just that when he managed to completely nail the two photos that included the 10 young bridesmaids and pageboys [2], who are all under the age of 7. However, he did have a little bit of help thanks to a tactic of Kate Middleton's kids' nanny [3], Maria Borrallo: candy bribes for good behaviour [4].
"They were being bribed with one Smartie here, one Smartie there," Lubomirski told Reuters of his technique [5] (which every mom in the universe can relate to). "So, as soon as the kids came onto the set, I immediately just shouted out 'Who likes Smarties?' and then everybody, hands up, smiles, even some adults put their hands up."
The kids may have been on a sugar high afterwards, but those don't last very long. Good photographs are forever, and Lubomirski crushed it.
