Serena Williams's Message For Working Parents

Serena Williams Has a Message For Working Parents, and We Already Feel Less Alone

Serena Williams, arguably the greatest tennis player alive and mom to 1-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia, has a new year's message for stressed-out parents: keep chugging along. She shared the thoughtful message in an Instagram post to close out 2018, and we're already feeling inspired.

"As I head into next year it's not about what we can do it's what we MUST do as working mums and working dads," she wrote. "Anything is possible. I am getting ready for the first match of the year and my dear sweet baby Olympia Ohanian was tired and sad and simply needed mama's love."

For the winner of 23 grand slam titles, sometimes this means multitasking, and anyone with kiddos certainly knows the feeling.

"So if it means warming up and stretching while holding my baby that's what this mama will do," she said. "My fellow mums and dads working — or stay home it's equally as intense — but you inspire me. Hearing your stories makes me know I can do this. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This year is to you! What are some things you had to do while working?"

All we can say is, we're feeling motivated already!
