An Animated Star Wars Series Is Coming to Disney Channel, and We're Already Hooked

Disney Channel has a new Star Wars series in the works! Kids and parents alike will enjoy Star Wars Resistance, an animated series premiering this Fall on the cable network. The Hollywood Reporter announced the news and revealed the premise of the show, which will follow "Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot recruited by the Resistance whose mission is to spy on the growing threat of the First Order."

Details about a recurring cast are not yet released, but we do know that Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie will guest star and voice their characters, Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma. Plus, the animated series is created by several Star Wars veterans, including producers who worked on Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, so you know it's going to be up to par. Years may have passed since we binge-watched Disney Channel Original Movies like Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, but clearly Disney Channel is still a gem.
