Popsugar Parenting Twitter Reactions Stranger Makes Boy's Bike a Parking Sticker After a Year of Chaining His Bike to the Same Post, a Stranger Made This Boy a Designated “Parking Spot” 26 September 2018 by Alessia Santoro My son has parked his bike by this lamppost just about every day for the last year. This morning, this sticker had appeared. Absolutely made our day. People can be so brilliant. Thank you, whoever did it 😊 pic.twitter.com/rYC8jCTD5L— Christie Dietz (@asausagehastwo) September 24, 2018 Christie Dietz's son chains his lime green balance bike to the same lamppost every morning, and like most habits, it probably became a mindless act done on autopilot — until something about the lamppost changed. On the morning of Sept. 24, there was a sticker on the lamppost at kid height with a photo of the boy's bike (and its adorable Lightning McQueen bell) chained to it. On top of the photo there was a big "P" for parking, and below it, the word "only," marking it as just his. "My son has parked his bike by this lamppost just about every day for the last year," Christie wrote on Twitter. "This morning, this sticker had appeared. Absolutely made our day. People can be so brilliant. Thank you, whoever did it." Although it's still a mystery who made the sticker and adhered it to the post (one person seems to have claimed ownership, but it's still unclear), tons of Twitter users have replied to the thread to say that the stranger's kindness has restored their faith in humanity. And it's a good reminder: sometimes all it takes is a simple act to brighten people's days. Thought I might have come across this on twitter. I walked past it almost every days for 6 months and moved out of town for a little. I came back just 4 weeks ago and the little bike was still parked up there so your more than welcome for my thought. Hope it makes him happy 😃— harryjohnston (@HarryJohnston9) September 25, 2018 It's not completely confirmed that Harry is the creator of the parking sticker, but it seems like he could be! 12 / 13 Christie's Original Tweet My son has parked his bike by this lamppost just about every day for the last year.
