Target Car Seat Trade-in Program 2019

Target’s Car Seat Trade-in Program Is Back, So It’s Officially Time For Spring Cleaning

Target's car set trade-in program is back! The popular event, which the company started in 2016 in honour of Earth Day, allows customers to trade in an old car seat in exchange for a 20 percent off coupon toward a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, or stroller, or select baby home gear, such as playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, and bouncers. Since the first event, Target has recycled half a million car seats and are looking to up that number through this Spring's event, which will take place from April 22 through May 4.

According to Target's corporate blog, "Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including infant seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats, and car seats that are expired or damaged. Materials from the old car seats will be recycled by Target's partner, Waste Management."

Although the car seats must be physically traded in at a Target store (find a drop-off box near you here), the 20 percent off coupon can be applied to any eligible purchase in-store or online through May 11, 2019.
