This Twitter Hashtag Is Dedicated to What Kids Will Miss Out On If They're Killed in a School Shooting

In the wake of the 22nd school shooting to take place in the US in 2018 in Santa Fe, TX, Andrew Schneidawind, a Twitter user from Virginia, decided to keep the conversation about gun violence in schools going in the best way he knew how: by creating the hashtag #IfIDieInASchoolShooting so students could share what they'd leave behind — or miss out on altogether — if they were to become a victim.

And after originally posting his idea to the Twittersphere on May 20, his tweet has gone completely viral — and the responses from teens and tweens across the US are actually heartbreaking. Here are some of the most poignant tweets that we'll be thinking about long after we read them:
