After Missing Her Own Graduation to Attend Her Son's, 1 Mom Got the Surprise of a Lifetime

To attend her son Stephan’s commencement ceremony, Sharonda Wilson was unable to attend her own from Ferris State University. Learning this, President Davies contacted FSU President Eisler and was able to confer her degree on behalf of FSU's president and trustees.

Despite recently finishing her bachelor's degree studies at Ferris State University, Sharonda Wilson found herself in a bit of a conundrum when it came to getting her diploma. You see, her college graduation ceremony was on the exact same day as her son's. And like most mothers, Sharonda didn't think twice before skipping her own celebration to attend his ceremony at Central Michigan University.

Upon hearing the news, CMU President, Robert O. Davies, contacted the president at FSU to ensure Sharonda got the opportunity to celebrate her gigantic accomplishment after all. Thankfully, CMU caught President Davies's amazing announcement on video, and after being shared on social media, it's understandably gone utterly viral.
