Where Will Disney Cruises Go in 2020?

If You’re Thinking of Going on a Family Disney Cruise, Let These Dreamy 2020 Offerings Sway You

It was announced back in September 2018 that Disney would sail its cruise line from New Orleans for the first time in early 2020, and now that we're starting to think about next year's travel plans, we may have been swayed by Disney's dreamy trip line-up for 2020 to head out to sea (some people think it's a better holiday than the parks!). Not only are you able to sail from New Orleans — which kind of gives you reason to have a 2-in-1 holiday that includes both sailing and beignets — but Disney will take its cruises back to Hawaii after a hiatus, and all of its other offerings are still very much on the table.

The real question now isn't if we'll go on a Disney cruise next year, it's where? Learn more about Disney's most noteworthy 2020 offerings ahead.

Sail From New Orleans on a Disney Cruise

According to Disney, when you choose to sail from NOLA, you can "get your fill of beignets, jazz and architectural delights before or after you cast off on a voyage to the tropics aboard the Disney Wonder." Round-trip itineraries from New Orleans include both days at sea and stops to ports in the Western Caribbean and Bahamas.

Sail to Hawaii on a Disney Cruise

Aloha, sailors! In 2020, Disney will be taking its cruises back to beautiful Hawaii. Not only will you get plenty of sun and time with characters on the cruise, but you'll make stops on your 9- or 10-night cruise to four of the main islands: the Big Island, Maui, Kauai, and Oahu (which is where Disney's Aulani Resort is!).

Visit Disney's Castaway Cay on a Disney Cruise

Disney's own private island paradise, Castaway Cay in the Bahamas, is a stop on most of the cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean in early 2020. While there, enjoy white sand beaches, a buffet lunch, bike rentals, water sports, and more. Plus, there's Scuttle's Cove, where you can drop off your kids ages 3 to 12 to go off and indulge in some adult time.
