After Kate Hudson [3] and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa welcomed a sweet baby girl into the world on Oct. 2, [4] the pair shared they had named their new daughter Rani Rose in honour of her paternal grandfather Ron Fujikawa.
"We have decided to name our daughter Rani Rose [5] (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa," wrote the 39-year-old mother of three on Instagram. "Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honour."
She updated her fans in the same post, saying: "Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back."
Kate Hudson also shares 14-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson and 6-year-old son Bingham with Matthew Bellamy. Congrats to the happy couple!
