Here's Everything Your Family Will Love at Epcot's 2020 Flower & Garden Festival

Spike the Bee was something of a villain in the classic Disney cartoons, but now he is happily hiding all over Epcot, pollenating the vibrant array of flowers that are on display during the festival. For $6.99 plus tax, guests can purchase a Spike's Pollen Nation Exploration map and sticker set (available at the Port of Entry gift shop) to help you discover all of Spike's hiding spots.

Once you complete your search, you can turn your map in for a special prize! As far as Disney souvenirs go, that's a steal. There is no time limit for this hunt, so you can take your time and look for Spike as you enjoy the rest of the festival fun.

No matter how much you appreciate their beauty and skillful design, most kids would not be impressed by an all-day topiary tour. When they find that those topiaries include Mickey, Mickey, Elsa, and, new this year, Ratatouille's Remy, Epcot's Flower and Garden Festival is the obvious exception. These topiaries are scattered throughout the park and your kids will love discovering new floral friends around every corner.

If you want to encourage your child's green thumb, you won't want to miss the many gardens on display throughout the festival grounds. From the ancient art of bonsai to an Italian herb garden, kids will love learning more about the natural world around them. Maybe it'll even inspire them to help you cook dinner more often.

The Flower and Garden Festival is home to two interactive play areas (perfect when your kids need to burn off some energy). Bo Peep's Playtime Training Ground is a Toy Story 4-themed area near the Test Track walkway and the all-new Health Full Trail (on the Imagination Walkway) combines a playground and outdoor kitchen where families can learn fun new ways to stay healthy.

The Goodness Garden Butterfly House lets your kids get up close and personal with a menagerie of beautiful butterflies. Located in Future World West, kids can view butterflies in their natural habitat and maybe even coax one into landing on their shoulder.

All those magical topiaries do double duty as gorgeous photo backdrops! Kids will especially love snapping pics with Mickey, Bambi, and their favourite Disney princesses.

Disney's merch game has been on point recently, but if your little Disney fan can never get enough Figment or Orange Bird, this festival has got you covered. You might want to pack an extra suitcase because throughout the park, you'll find specialty kitchenware, clothing, hats, toys, and more.

Epcot's Behind the Seeds tour is available all year round, but this hour-long walking tour adds a kid-friendly, educational component to the festival. The tour is $25 for adults and $20 for children and gives guests a backstage glimpse at the fruit and veggie-filled greenhouses and fish farms inside The Land Pavilion.

Depending on how open your kids are to culinary adventures, there are tons of fresh, new foods they can try during the festival. A variety of themed outdoor kitchens are placed throughout Epcot with dishes like Citrus Shortcake and Frozen Violet Lemonade. Be on the lookout for menu items marked with a strawberry icon – these are the food and beverage items that have been pre-approved for tiny taste buds.
