There's no denying that Meghan Markle [3]'s fashion and beauty choices have a huge amount of influence with the public — aka the "Meghan Markle Effect." [4] But after Meghan and Prince Harry shared a video on Instagram featuring Archie in an adorable knit beanie, one could argue that people are equally as eager to copy her son's style.

To mark the end of a successful, albeit rather turbulent 2019, the family shared a year recap video [5] on the Sussex Royal Instagram account, and it wasn't long before Archie's beanie was top of conversation. In a sweet, never-before-seen photo of Prince Harry and Archie, the 7-month-old wears a grey bobble hat, which was later announced as being gifted to Meghan from knitting community Make Give Live [6] during a trip to New Zealand in 2018. Make Live Give is a social community with well-being at its heart; volunteers gather in libraries and cafes across the country to knit items to be sold and donated.

Since the photo of Archie was released, Make Give Live has been overwhelmed with orders and has subsequently had to pause on taking any more for the time being. "Hats take time, they are made by real people. We don't want to become high-pressured, we will keep it fun [7]," the company told The Guardian. It was reported that following the Sussexes' post, the company received more than 300 orders in a single day, compared with 45 in a typical month.

Not only does Archie look adorable in his hat but the Sussex family also helped keep someone else's head warm for the Winter.
