Although bicycles aren't nearly as essential as toilet paper, disinfectant sprays, or alcohol wipes, retailers are seeing their bike stock sell out fast during this time when families are staying home and there isn't much more to do than go outside for a bike ride (plus, bike parts come from all over, which is also tough right now with much of the world shut down). While this is definitely a time to be careful if you're teaching your child to ride a bike for the first time — trips to the ER are an even bigger pain right now — it's a fun outdoor activity that gives everyone a bit of a workout and some much-needed vitamin D.
