Blues Clues & You Alphabet Song Recognises LGBTQ+ Community

Blues Clues and You Put a Fun Twist on the ABCs to Recognise the LGBTQ+ Community

"Blues Clues said LGBTQ rights for real, y'all," one Twitter user captioned a screenshot from Blues Clues and You's new alphabet song. The music video, shared to the Nick Jr. show's YouTube account on Feb. 11, puts a modern twist on the ABCs with lyrics like "E is for everyone" and "U is what unites us." Fans of all ages were especially excited to hear that the show gave a special shoutout to the LGBTQ+ community towards the end of the song with the lyric "P is for pride!"

"Thank you Blue's Clues!!!" another Twitter user wrote. The lyric was accompanied by the letter P decorated in rainbow stripes and artwork of Blue surrounded by the intersex, pansexual, asexual, transgender, lesbian, bisexual, nonbinary, and genderfluid flags. With just four letters, the song puts a meaningful spin on the song we grew up hearing. Check out the full "ABC Song" here.
