Your body changes in profound ways during and after pregnancy, especially if you decide to breastfeed. The quest for every woman who decides to nurse is the frustrating one in which she will seek out the perfect nursing bra. She will probably settle for a few that are just fine, considering that your boobs will often change size on a weekly, daily, and hourly basis. I dealt with fluctuating breast size with the added challenge of starting with already-big boobs, and ordered and sent back so many different nursing bras that I was pretty sure I'd tried everything out there.
Sure, there were a lot of good bras that fulfiled the comfort and function requirements, but I needed something more: support. I wanted my boobs to feel comfortably held up, as if I were wearing an underwire, but not (note: there's actually no evidence that underwire bras inhibit breastfeeding, but they're definitely uncomfortable during this time, so I stuck to nursing bras without them). And I wanted them to actually look good under my clothes, so I could have some semblance of normalcy in the strange new body I had after baby.

I tried about 10 different nursing bras toward the beginning of my breastfeeding journey, and while some were fine for certain purposes (like sleeping or lounging around the house), there's only one bra that makes me feel like I'm wearing a "normal" bra and makes me feel normal, too: the Bravado! Let's talk about structure: until I found this bra, I was convinced that any bra without underwire would make my breasts look and feel saggy. When I finally tried the Bravado! But it's the cups that are molded with foam that give the shape; it's not so thick that they add bulk to your silhouette, and the fabric is perfectly smooth under tees and thin tops.
The Bravado! Designs Women's Bliss Nursing Bra ($35) has fold-down cups for nursing, and the repeated motion hasn't compromised the molding and shape in any way in the year I've been wearing mine. Also important: the bra actually separates your breasts into two actual boobs, not just one uniboob, which is a common result with many nursing bras.
Another useful thing Bravado does is include a bra extender with every bra, which is very important when your size is fluctuating (PS the sizing goes all the way up to a 38I). I wore the Bravado!
