The Sweet Reason Chance the Rapper Delayed His Tour

Chance the Rapper, Cutest Dad Ever, Delayed His Tour to Spend More Time With His Newborn

Chance the Rapper is postponing his world tour for a very important reason: to spend more time helping his wife, Kirsten Corley, raise their newborn daughter, Marli. The 26-year-old artist's The Big Day tour was scheduled to kick off in San Francisco this week, but now a majority of the shows are delayed until 2020, save for a few music festival appearances. Chance announced the news in a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, writing, "This year has been one of the greatest of my life; Marriage, new baby, first album etc. But with it being so eventful it has also been very strenuous having to divide my time and energy between family and work."

"I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months."

The Chicago native went on to admit that when his first daughter, Kensli, was born in 2015, he jetted off on tour just two weeks later and "missed some of the most important milestones" of her early months. "More importantly, I was absent when her mother needed me the most," he continued. "At this point as a husband and father of two I realise that I can't make that mistake again. I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli." We can definitely get on board with that!

We're more than happy to see Chance taking it easy and prioritising what matters most, especially considering how busy his year has been so far. Back in March, the rapper tied the knot with his longtime love, and just a few days later, he and Kirsten announced that baby No. 2 was on the way. In July, he dropped his debut album, The Big Day, and just two months later, he and Kirsten welcomed baby Marli. Phew! Here's to hoping Chance and Kirsten share even more adorable peeks at their new bundle of joy in the coming months. In the meantime, take a look back at the cutest photos of their growing family, ahead.
