Clifford the Big Red Dog Is Heading Back to the Small Screen, and What a Way to End 2019!

It's time to gather the kiddos around the TV because Clifford the Big Red Dog is officially making a comeback! The beloved PBS series — which debuted back in 2000 — is heading to Amazon Prime Video on Dec. 6 and PBS on Dec. 7 with brand-new episodes. And don't worry, though the reboot has gotten a major update in animation, it will still focus on Emily Elizabeth's adventures with her four-legged friend on Birdwell Island.

The show will feature a slew of original songs designed to get kids singing and dancing, and for the first time ever, Emily Elizabeth and Clifford will actually talk to each other. How sweet! If you're especially excited for the show to premiere, stop by your local library to pick up a few books from the Clifford the Big Dog series — which were originally written and illustrated in 1963 by Norman Bridwell — to introduce your kids to the sweet pair.
