Dav Pilkey, the celebrated author behind both the Dog Man and Captain Underpants book series, is doing his part to help keep kids who are learning from home occupied and feeling creative. The Library of Congress announced on March 30 that Dav will be hosting mini drawing lessons every Friday at 8 a.m. ET on the Library of Congress and Scholastic websites and social media accounts beginning April 3.
According to a press release, children will be able to partake in drawing demonstrations and read-alouds and will also have access to other online educational resources provided by the Library of Congress beginning April 1. Additionally, select videos, downloadable activities, and conversations with the author about books and creativity will be released periodically throughout the upcoming weeks.
