With all the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, it's not surprising that little ones want answers to their burning questions, especially where Santa Claus is concerned. While explaining to children why they might not be seeing their cousins or grandparents for the holidays may be difficult to navigate, when it comes to Santa's well-being — specifically whether or not he can get or spread COVID-19 [1] — Dr. Anthony Fauci has the details.

"Santa is exempt from [COVID-19] because Santa, of all the good qualities, has a lot of good innate immunity," Dr. Fauci said in an interview with USA Today. "So, Santa is not going to be spreading any infections to anybody."

It certainly seems like Dr. Fauci has Santa on speed dial! If your kids are still worried and press you, be sure to let them know that the guy in the red suit will also be wearing a mask as he goes from house to house delivering presents. And even though photos with Santa IRL are being put on pause throughout the country, children can still meet with him virtually using a site called JingleRings [3].
