Dwayne Johnson, Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show: At Home

Dwayne Johnson Is Bursting With Pride Over His Daughter Joining the WWE: "It Blows My Mind"

Dwayne Johnson is getting ready to pass on the mantle of professional wrestling to his oldest daughter, Simone, and he couldn't be prouder. The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor recently made a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and took the opportunity to gush about Simone's next venture with the WWE.

"First of all, what an honour that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps but more importantly, follow in my footsteps sounds cliché, but she actually wants to create and blaze her own path, which is so important," Dwayne said. He explained that this partnership has been years in the making, and Simone put in effort to get to this point.

"She's 18 now, at 16 she was working her ass off quietly under the radar, in the ring getting thrown around, you know all the bumps and bruises that go with pro wrestling," he continued. "But she hung in there, and I'm very very proud of her."

It's no secret that Dwayne loves being a "girl dad." He frequently shares videos and photos with his youngest daughters, Tiana and Jasmine, and posts parenting lessons on Instagram. He's certainly setting an example his kids want to follow! Watch the full video above to see Dwayne get adorably excited about Simone's new adventure.
