Dwyane Wade Talks About Being a Basketball Dad on WWHL

Dwyane Wade Shocks No One by Saying He's a More Chill Basketball Dad Than LeBron James

As former teammates, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James are known for having contrasting skills and temperaments that complement one another. The same can be said for their sideline behaviour. In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Dwyane spoke about being a basketball dad alongside LeBron now that their two sons, 15-year-old LeBron "Bronny" James Jr. and 18-year-old Zaire Wade, play for the same team at the Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles.

"Our kids have been knowing each other for a long time, so they're good friends," said Dwyane. Speaking to his more restrained approach to supporting Zaire during a game, he said, "I self-talk all the time. I'm sitting over there and I'm like, 'Don't go crazy. Don't go over there and choke the coach. Don't go whoop him up. Don't go kick him. Don't beat this ref's ass right now.'"

Meanwhile, LeBron, who is known for his enthusiasm, clearly has a different approach. "I think I probably have more self-talk than LeBron," Dwyane said, "but he probably exerts more into the energy of the arena." Spoken like a true friend. Watch the interview highlight above.
