Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani have been approaching coparenting creatively during the COVID-19 outbreak. In a recent interview with SiriusXM [3], Gavin explained that his normal schedule with their three shared children — Kingston, 13, Zuma, 11, and Apollo, 6 [4] — has definitely changed.

Although Gavin spent the first two weeks of self-isolation with his sons [5], they have since gone to stay with Gwen at Blake Shelton's ranch in Oklahoma. "It's OK for now, but we'll see," he said. "That is a real big dilemma for parents with kids with split custody. I know who's around me — no one. And I know who's bringing me the [coronavirus] — no one. But if you send your kids out somewhere else, and they come back to you, now you're prone to whoever they're with. It's a tricky one for all divorced parents."

Because of the contagious nature of COVID-19, Gavin hasn't been able to see his children as much as he usually does. Typically, he gets to see his kids every five days or so, but given the current situation, he hasn't seen them in nearly two weeks and has relied on technology to keep up with them.

"And that is really hard. Plus, I miss them, and they should be back [with me] . . . At first, it's a bit like, 'OK, cool, you can be super selfish, you know? Play that guitar more.' But now, I'm like, hmm, I kind of prefer it when they're around, actually. [We do a] lot of FaceTime," he said. "I find myself in my kids' pocket a lot."
