The beauty of things like iPhones and Amazon Alexas is that the world is truly at your fingertips. But the downside of being a parent with all this cool technology on hand? The world is at your kids' fingertips, too! In a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the father of four highlighted what happened when his producer's 5-year-old daughter Charlie ordered a giant banana monkey pillow off Amazon using the family's Alexa.
"I got home from work one night and Charlie said to me, 'Mommy, I bought something on Amazon today. I think I bought a banana toy on Alexa,'" Charlie's mom Erin explained. "And I was like, 'What are you talking about?' And I didn't think she really did it."
Lo and behold, a gigantic box that contained the $197 plush showed up on Erin's porch. Fortunately, Erin was able to access the transcript between her daughter and Alexa and yes, she actually said, "Alexa could you please order the banana toys" and "Alexa buy it now." While Erin would love to return her daughter's latest purchase, it seems like Charlie is already completely obsessed with her new pillow. Talk about a hilarious parenting moment!
