Grey's Anatomy [3]'s Camilla Luddington is a mom of two! The actress welcomed a son named Lucas Matthew with her husband, Matt Alan, in August. The new mom made her announcement on Aug. 25 alongside a sweet photo of herself and Lucas in the hospital after his birth.
Camilla said she and her husband chose the name Lucas because it was the only boys' name they could agree on. Lucas, which is the Latin form of "Luke," [4] seems to be one tons of new parents have been able to agree on as well, as the name was the eighth most popular for boys in 2018 [5]. Lucas's middle name, Matthew, is a nod to his dad's first name, which is also a very popular name [6] — it's been in the top 20 for boys since 1971!
And as it turns out, Lucas already has a nickname that corresponds with his birthday and zodiac sign: "Little Lion." In her announcement post, Camilla shared, "Matt and I are SOOO happy to announce the birth of our sweet baby BOY Lucas, otherwise known as my little lion 🦁 (shoutout to Leo's!)."
Congratulations to Camilla, Matt, and big sister Hayden on Lucas's arrival!
