14/10/2020 - 11:05 PM

Luis Fonsi is a huge name in Latin music, but he made the crossover to mainstream pop when he collaborated with Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber for their megahit "Despacito" in 2017. In fact, Luis actually scored major points with his daughter [1], Mikaela, after teaming up with Justin for the song, he told Hola! in 2017. "She's just proud because all the little girls in school are like 'Aww your dad sung with Justin Bieber.' But I asked her the other day, I was like 'Mami who do you like better, Justin Bieber or papi?' and she said 'Papi.'"

Mikaela is just one of Luis's adorable two children — the singer also has a son named Rocco that he frequently shows off on his Instagram account. Ahead, check out some of the sweetest pictures this Latin pop star shared over the years, and get to know the kids better.

Mikaela Lopéz-Cepero

Mikaela Lopéz-Cepero was born Dec. 20, 2011. She is Luis Fonsi's oldest daughter with his wife, Águeda López. Her parents lovingly refer to her as Mika, and Luis has joked on Instagram about not ever wanting to let her date [3]. The two are extremely close, and Luis frequently shares pictures of his daddy-daughter dates with her. The family's home base is Miami, and Luis told Hola! in 2017 that he's raising his children to be bilingual [4] with an emphasis on the Spanish language. "You know it's tough because school and everything is English but in the house there's no English. It's all Spanish. We want to keep our traditions and we want [Mikaela] to be completely fluent. I'm not going to say her Spanish is perfect but it's going to be [laughs]. She speaks English to me and I'm like 'Ah no te entiendo, no te entiendo.' We're trying really hard."

Rocco Rodríguez López-Cepero

Rocco Rodríguez López-Cepero was born Dec. 20, 2016. He is Luis Fonsi's youngest child with his wife, Águeda López. Rocco was born exactly five years after his older sister, Mika. Luis frequently shares pictures of his son in matching outfits, including this one of them with matching cars! Luis told Hola! in 2017 that touring is one of the hardest parts for him about being a dad [5]. "They were in Spain for a little bit now during the Summer, but now [Mikaela] started school [kindergarten]," he said. "I want them to have a normal life you know and touring is not healthy for anybody. We're in a city every day. I'm doing soundchecks, interviews. I'll tough it out, and I'll let them do the normal traditional go to school, come back home, play with your friends kind of childhood, which I think is very important."
