Jennifer Garner [1] sounds like she's the coolest mom. Between her hilarious cooking videos [2], her genuine coparenting tactics with Ben Affleck [3], and her ability to go all-out for her kids' birthdays [4], there's no way her kids could ever complain, right? Wrong! According to the mom-of-three she is an absolute "fun killer" when it comes to her kids requests. Jennifer recently sat down on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon [5] where she spoke about her upcoming Netflix movie, Yes Day, based on the children's book of the same title by the late Amy Krouse Rosenthal, and how she's been doing a "yes day" [6] with her family for a few years.
"It's about a mom who one day of the year says 'yes' all day long, and if you're like me, I kill the fun. I am so lame. I say no to everything. They call me 'The Dragon,'" she said candidly. "So, on one day a year, I just say 'yes,'" which literally applies to anything, even if her kids say, "We want pizza with ice cream for breakfast, or with toothpaste."
Jennifer and Ben have three kids together [8] — 13-year-old daughter Violet, 10-year-old daughter Seraphina, and 7-year-old son Samuel — and she said the hardest thing about the "yes day" is for all three kids to agree on a mutual goal.
