Jimmy Fallon is back with his fourth children's book, and this time, he's focussed on the holiday season! It's titled 5 More Sleeps 'til Christmas, and the late-night host joked that it's the longest book he's written so far.

"This is the longest book I've ever written," he told Entertainment Weekly. "This is my War and Peace. This is my Goldfinch. This is probably 12 times the amount of words than my other books."

Illustrated by Rich Deas, it centres on a young brother and sister who are counting down the days until Christmas by engageing in tons of festive activities, from listening to holiday music to putting out a classic combination of cookies and milk for Santa Claus.

According to the father of two, the book was completely inspired by his daughter Winnie. "My 7-year-old, a couple years ago, she was like, 'How many more sleeps 'til Christmas?'" Jimmy explained. "I never said that in my life. I've never heard of 'How many more sleeps?' I always said, 'How many more days 'til Christmas?' It's so boring. 'Sleeps' is so cute and dreamy and magical."

"I'm obsessed with the holiday. I love the music. I love the Lifetime movies. I love the Hallmark movies."

Jimmy's been a major fan of the holiday season since he was just a kid, so 5 More Sleeps 'til Christmas is very much in his wheelhouse. "I'm obsessed with the holiday. I love the music. I love the Lifetime movies. I love the Hallmark movies," he said. "That's the perfect holiday for me. It's the spirit. It's giving. It's all that stuff. I love the coziness of it. I love the sweaters. I love hot cocoa. I love anything that's associated with it."

He noted that he truly hopes his passion for the most magical time of year shines through in his latest creation. "I love Christmas, and I always wanted to do something holiday-themed," he said. "I always have since I was a kid. I used to freak out for Christmas. [I told my mom] I saw Santa Claus, I looked out the window, and I saw a sleigh in the sky. I don't know what I saw. Or if I made it up. I was so excited. So, I wanted to write a book about kids being excited for Christmas."
