Joey King and Her Grandma Look Like BFFs in This Sweet Birthday Post: "I Feel So Lucky"

Maybe you met your best friend in elementary school, or maybe you just started working together, but it looks like Joey King has known her BFF since birth. On Nov. 20, Joey wished her grandma Reds Farrar a happy birthday in a super sweet Instagram post that included some of their favourite photos together over the years.

"Grandma it's your birthday!! And as I look at these pictures 2 thoughts come to mind," Joey captioned the post. "1. You are mind blowingly [sic] stunning at every age . . . I mean how do you keep getting more beautiful? And 2. From the time I started having memories, to now, the joy you've brought me is far beyond explanation. Having you as my grandmother is the greatest gift I feel so lucky to have grown up with you as my designated grilled cheese maker, dress up partner, make believe buddy, and friend."

Despite quarantine regulations preventing Joey and her grandma from spending the special day together, the accompanying photos prove that they've shared many wonderful times together over the years. The first photo even features Joey as a little girl helping her grandma open a gift. In hopes of spending many more birthdays and holidays with her grandma, Joey ended the heartwarming post with an important message about following CDC recommendations for anyone else who might be missing a family member right now. "Please wear your masks, wash your hands and help stop the spread of this virus, because me and many others would like to give their grandmas a hug again soon."
